Helping Forgetful Visitors - The terrific staff at Field 4 Park Information office gave me and my family sunscreen this Thursday when we all forgot our lotion at home. The staff was considerate, helpful and kind. I felt truly blessed and my family got to enjoy our beach day burn free.

Disturbing Wildlife - Hempstead state park is disturbing animal habitats by clearing a bunch of trees and bushes, destroying animals homes. Its not right to disturb these critters when they are hibernating in the middle of the winter. Please stop disturbing these critters. Any clearing should be done in the summer, not in the middle of the winter.

Collectible Tokens - We recently visited Niagara Falls State Park and was hoping to purchase the collectible tokens. The clerks said if I notify them later you may be able to let me buy them on line. Even though I really enjoyed seeing the falls again, I went a long way out of my way to get these tokens. Please advise. Thank you.

The year 1952---1954 - As a very young boy we lived on Redmond road in a farm house probably no more than a mile from the park. I remember I could look up the road and see the park. Of coarse this was long before any road work had been done. Tried to locate the two story house which was located on the west side of Redmond by going to goggle earth, but the house is gone. I am 67 now and it seems like a dream now.

UNREAL - Finally had chance to write a review. Simply amazing especially the people who run the park.Main gate-was the best way ever to start our trip. She was sooooooo entertaining and helpful throughout our stay.

Paradise - Beautiful park,very hard to get a reservation here. I would suggest to the Big Rig owners,try camping down the road just past Clayton where they have full hookups, including sewage. Is also a great park for kids, a club house and day long festivities . Kring is more of a retirement community. Not a kid friendly park.

- Stony Brook has not changed over the last 50 years. For those looking for a updated camping area you will need to look at other location as all the sites are small and with no electric. If you want to picnic and hike this is the place for you. Cheers

closing early - this park used to be open until the end of September..Now closes early in September. Many fall campers would still like to camp later in September. what needs to be done to keep this campground open?

Not well managed - We stayed here for 2 nights in early August. The facilities are run down, in disrepair, and not appealing at all. Campsite boundaries are not clear, had another small popup set up almost on top of our table and fire ring when we arrived. The campground did not enforce rules regarding the number of campers, tents, or cars at a site. The attendant was not at all helpful in finding the closest available water. She appeared to be preoccupied with something other than getting me checked in and settled.
