Biking in the GorgeI - You have a beautiful park. However I want to bring a problem to your attention. We had planned to bike the Gorge from White Haven to Jim Thorpe with transport from Jim Thorpe supplied by Pocono Bike Rentals. We signed up on line and paid $55. We were to arrive at the Onoko entrance before some minutes before 1pm which we did. However no one from Pocono Bike Rentals showed up. We called them and a man said that they were full before we signed up. He offered no assistance and hung up. Why did they take our reservation and our money if they were full When did they actually go It ruined our expectation of a ride through your beautiful park. We did ride a few miles up and back from Jim Thorpe, but we missed most of the trail and the beautiful scenery. Stephen Cristy, Oak Ridge TN

Breathtaking - We found this state park looking for fishing area . Now we are hooked. We started coming here in 2021. Were going back up in Sept 2023We were at Kettle Creek back in May and our daughter and her family joined us. Love this campground This Sept will be our eighth stay.

A suggestion - Would there be any way the park would ever consider side by sides on the trails It could be a fund raiser for the park certain days of the year and snowmobiles ride the trails in the winter.

Great for a caterpillar track vehicle - Love this very beautiful park, but oh the roads are just awful. Always such a bone rattling expedition once you leave the area around the office.

Lake - weed bed summer of 2017 - They waited to long to treat the lake and was a weed bed all summer of 17. A fishing boat motor was useless due weeds and open fishing spots were few and far between. Shore fishing was impossible all summer. Management is in question for sure. Regulation enforcement lacks in the park also. Speeding a big issue. Overpopulation in the shelters with very loud music is another issue. This park just keeps getting worse!

We got married here in 1983 - This is one of the most beautiful parks I have seen. I love the covered bridge and the Grist mill. I am coming back this spring to relive this memory. My husband passed away last month but he loved this park. We came here one more time after we got married and loved every minute of it.

Camp Here Often - Love this state park for its beauty and natural setting. The only negative comment I have is drivers go way to fast in the camp grounds. My girlfriend was almost run over by a speeding New York driver and his trailer.

My English teacher almost died there - My English teacher was teaching us about hooks when she told us that he got lost there and was out of water and energy. She said it was her most frightening experience of her life.

A great state park to go anytime! - Pinchot State Park has something for everyone year round. Fishing, sailing, biking, swimming, nice lakeside trail, camping, horse trails friendly park staff and rangers. We love this park. The food at the Concession Area provides amazingly great food (pizza, hamburgers, fresh cut fries) ~a real secret. Throughout the summer, we would go there just to have a bite and enjoy the scenery. Go there to relax, picnic, BBQ, or just to work remote or get away from the norm...
