Not a national park - The Green Mountain National Forest, like other National Forests, is NOT a National Park. National Forests are administered under the US Department of Agriculture. National Parks, which are established by a different federal law than are forests, are administered under the Department of the Interior. There is a National Park in Vermont, but it is neither in nor adjacent to the Green Mountain National Forest. This is the Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park near Woodstock, Vermont.
