Jacques Cartier State Park has a sheltered bay protecting the sandy swimming beach and campers dock. The two biggest draws for the park are unlimited boating opportunities and excellent fishing. The park's large open lawns encourage games and picnics; a playground and a second, forested, picnic ground are nearby. In winter, cross-country skiing is permitted in the park.

Enjoy fishing in a serene environment, with options for shore and boat angling. Species include Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. Other catches may be Walleye, Yellow Perch or Bullhead Catfish. Ice fishing is also available during winter months.

park review stars; one to five this park used to be open until the end of September..Now closes early in September. Many fall campers would still like to camp later in September. what needs to be done to keep this campground open?

park review stars; one to five Wanted to stay here, but absolutely no cell phone service (not even Canadian companies), only for those who want to completely escape the modern world.

park review stars; one to five Other then a pesky racoon that tore a nice size hole in my camp kitchen canvas bag, and the freezing cold shower every morning because there was no hot water in the shower in the upper loop due to some issues they were having with the pump house ( thats what we were told ) it was an all around nice place to stay.
