I took a drive yesterday took me just under an hour to get there from Granville Summit. I arrived to find things still thawing, and the lake still very much covered in ice. Was a beautiful sight!

January 8 Worth every minute by brindism

We live near the park and hike up there almost every week-end. The falls trail is amazing but even the shorter easier trails are awesome in any season (epecially winter when the falls trail is closed to most).

Our visit was confined to hiking the loop around the falls, strenuous for our age (80), but well worth the effort. Spectacular views. A few more directional signs may have helped us find our way. We will go back some day.
