Set among rolling grasslands, Clayton Lake State Park offers excellent trout, catfish and bass fishing. Walk a half-mile to the lake's spillway and see the internationally significant dinosaur trackway, containing more than 500 footprints dating back more than 100 million years.

This is a very beautiful place for people who enjoy the quiet serenity of nature. Campsites are well spaced apart, well maintained trails, clean bathrooms A perfect place for an artist to view and be inspired by the land around you.

we took our granddaughter here in May 2010, to see the dinosaur tracks, it was awesome and very clean accomodations, very helpful park rangers, had a great time and I would recomment it for a family vacation place.
