We caught 53 bass in a day and a half the key is to find where shad are schoolin and throw a chartruse and white spinnerbait wit a gold willow leaf and on the shallow ends throw a blue silver and orge rogue and jerk it the fish slam it

THE WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES WATCH EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE ON THE RIVER AND THEY ARE SNEAKY ABOUT IT AND RUDE. THE COPS LOOK FOR ANY LITTLE REASON TO GIVE U A TICKET WATCH YOUR BACK, THE CAMPGROUND HOWEVER IS BEAUTIFUL AND VERY NICE

This campground is wonderful. Staff is great. The ranger is the best. We stay here every year for Easter week. My whole family loves it there.

August 8 Camp..And Then Hit Vickksburg! by Cajun From Houma

My son and I love this place. We make a yearly trek to Lake Bruin to camp and then make a day trip into Vicksburg for history and lunch.

I have been going to this State Park since I was 14 yrs old I am now 35 and take my children. The improvements made are very nice for a peaceful stay.
