July 24 rude host by unhappy camper

Currently staying in the campground. A couple just threatened my 9 year old telling him he should have a helmet on while riding his bike. He was on our campsite...not the road. They told him if they caught him again they would take his bike. They never identified themselves as hosts. Someone else told me they were hosts. I will be handling this issue first thing in the morning.

September 5 not a happy camper by JMorris

We spent two nights in area 1, and felt it was not very well maintained. Spaces between camp sites are limited. Drab and depressing. Needs updating. I will not be returning, or recommending it to anyone I know.

February 8 Beautiful. by camperlady

We visited the park on a beautiful but chilly day in January. The was a skim of ice on the lake and the sunset reflecting on the ice and water was beautiful. Great pctures to remember our visit.

June 6 Cumberland State Park History by jjn

The Park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps(CCC) in the Great Depression. The Superintendent was none other than Sgt. Alvin C York,Medal of Honor from WWI.Today, the dam and the road atop it bears witness to the hard work of the CCC boys. The dam is the largest masonry structure built by the CCC.The dam was equipped with a water turbine electric generator to provide electricity for the Park.My Father in law worked on this project

This is the greatest park ever. They have everything you need. They are semi secluded but yet close enough to town to be able to enjoy movies, food and anything you want.

It looks like someone at the Park who lives there is raising fighting chickens. Someone told me it was the Park Manager house.

October 14 Wonderful experience camping here by William Ewing

We tent camped in area #1 of the campground. Very nice bathhouse/restrooms nearby. Good hiking trails, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, etc. Nearby Crossville was nice to visit. Would visit here again. Recommended.

October 4 Perfect for All Ages ! by ricelady

Perfect vacation or one day trip for people of all ages. Absolutely beautiful and this park has it all. Hicking, camping, cabins, scrumptous food, swimming, etc. The perfect remedy for rattled nerves, makes the coming week less stressful. The staff is ultra friendly and helpful.
